And then this big blue and white 747 took off and turned right… We all gathered at the windows, calls be damned. Ginny I can has iPhone? Via: Flickr Title: Or is THIS It? By: GinnyRED57 Originally uploaded: 15 Jun ’09, 1.02pm CDT PST

I think this is Air Force One, we’re on the O’Hare outbound flight path today, the timing was right for after the end of Pres. Obama’s AMA speech today, the livery was very light, was a 747… and several flights before and after all turned to the north, but this big bad boy came staight and true, right over my office. My co-workers had seen it from the eleventh floor and had all been looking at it, too. Ginny I can has iPhone? When I lived in Seattle, it was always fun to go down to Pike Place and watch tourists dodge flying salmon. The one guy that called out instructions like an air-traffic controller had a voice like ball bearings in a bucket. At work a few years ago, we threw plushy fish around after a team leader got ahold of the FiSH! corporate morale-boosting book. That whole idea of “play at work, work becomes play, be totally in the moment with your customer and throw a fish at them accurately” went away after that particular team leader or VP moved on.…

Holocaust Museum Shooting Suspect Had History of Hate, Signs of Breaking Point – washingtonpost.com De Nugent called von Brunn a genius but described the shooting as the act of “a loner and a hothead.” “The responsible white separatist community condemns this,” he said. “It makes us look bad.”

Ginny I can has iPhone? Via: Flickr Title: We All Mourn By: GinnyRED57 Originally uploaded: 10 Jun ’09, 8.15pm CDT PST Inspired by Pollster.com’s post This is Personal Pop was having none of it. He walked away from me and wandered up to the museum staffer standing at the head of the long line leading to the elevators that takes all visitors to the museum exhibits. I thought for a moment that Pop was going to ask directions. I was wrong. He thrust out his arm in the direction of the staffer, displaying the number the Nazis tattooed on his…

…the new iPhones are coming with a new video and “send to YouTube” capability. And yes, David signed us both up for when they come out, as we’ve got 1st Gen phones, and we get a better deal because we didn’t upgrade before now. So I’m expecting somebody will be working on a WordPress plugin for iPhone-to-blog video, or maybe there’s already a way to get stuff from YouTube to post on WP blogs. Gay rights advocates strut political clout in Salt Lake – Salt Lake Tribune There was glamor and glitz, and at times a playful gaudiness Sunday during the Utah Pride Parade on Sunday in downtown Salt Lake City. Yet beneath the surface of the rain-soaked celebration of Utah’s gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community, there was also the sense of a rising surge of political activism that almost transcended the spectacle with its brightly colored floats, rainbow banners and the marching, dancing men and women in brightly colored attire. “This year it is about everyone coming together and showing how much…

Here are some of the photos I took on our recent trip to Seattle for the Folk Life festival… there’s not really a narrative, but I wanted to give an idea of the color and sheer energy that goes on there. We had arrived very late the night before, due to a delay on United. We went for a walk in the morning after breakfast around the neighborhood near the hotel, walking up 5th Ave. North on Seattle’s Queen Anne Hill to get to a spot where there was a nice viewpoint. Although I’ve never eaten at this particular restaurant,…
