Weather Forces NASA to Delay Landing – Yahoo! News I’m trying not to worry, but I’ll be very relieved when Discovery lands tomorrow. The delay today is weather-related, but the insulation material that worked its way loose is still a big concern. This thumbnail shows astronaut Steve Robinson making a self-portrait with the reflective shield on his helmet during his historic trip to the underside of the Space Shuttle to check the heat shield and remove stray pieces of “gap filler” material. Like everyone, I hope they all make it down safe.

A Little Behind

It’s a state of mind and a state of being. I’m always a little (or more than a little) behind. Would that I had one too, but alas. There’s a lot going on – new great-niece in the family, more family doings coming up in August and September, meetings and more meetings, and it’s all starting to crowd up on the calendar. Yikes! Can I take a vacation from all this?

Avoid health sharing plans, they're not that great a deal. A friend had one while getting some pretty serious treatment, and he struggled to get the care he needed.

Tea Towel Hems

Bought some tea towels for gifts, looking for tutorials for adding colorful hanging cuffs after hemming.

I lean toward Method 1, mitred corners. Will decide once the towels arrive in case the selvage edges are good quality.

Post: He’s nuts if he thinks manufacturers will move to the US; they like paying rock bottom non-union wages and they’ll pass the higher costs to American consumers. Lose-lose! What can possibly go wrong?
