Subservient Chicken

I finally got around to seeing what Subservient Chicken is all about. Suffice to say, I got him to do some pretty freakin’ weird things, such as “impersonate Elvis,” “impersonate Michael Jackson (ooh! that chicken can moonwalk!)” and “hop from one foot to another.” However, the weirdest response thus far was to “do housework.”

I was unsuccessful in commanding him to hump the furniture – he approached the camera and gave an imperious “no-no-no” gesture. However, he did oblige me on “molt” and “order fried chicken.”

  1. Good gravy! How did you find this site? The chicken actually responded live to my commands? That is hilarious.

  3. It’s been kicking around the Internet for a while now – bloggers and net.heads have been playing with it ever since. It’s an ad for Burger King as you can see, and there’s some interesting programming that went into the language “commands” – basically, they’re keywords, but it’ll do different things if you use more than one keyword in a command, and it seems to understand some syntax.

I laughed my ass off at work yesterday playing with it. Not a good idea. However, it did some really goofy things for me, such as “play air guitar” and “run around the room.” Oh – I just realized I need to try “run around like a chicken with its head cut off.”
