Trying amitryptiline for the persistent “burning tinglies” in my left arm, hands, and left side.
I suspect the carpal tunnel is overlaid a bit with this CPSP on the left side, my doctor started me on a low dose. It may take a few months to dial in the lowest effective dose.
At night I can neutralize it temporarily with electric massage, a tight cycling sleeve, and gloves so that I can sleep. Daytime, I wear long sleeves and avoid typing or touching textures. As soon as my bare arm touches my shirt on the side, or upholstery, fabrics, etc., it’s triggered.
Driving myself home yesterday from the doc and a walk at the fitness center, the “burnies” ramped up to at least a 3 on the pain scale. Usually it’s a 2. I had planned to get a car wash and oil change, but was tired and needed a break. Got enough done for the day. Today, lots to do and already behind, but we plan to at least drive by a couple of local protests and wave. Getting COVID and flu jabs today, too.
This study gives me HOP that in a couple months this annoying burning sensation will be just background noise that I can ignore.
Wish the same to be true of the neo-nutsies ruining this country. They’re hurting SO MANY PEOPLE. And right in my damn village, they took a young woman down to the ground, but released her a few hours later. She and some friends had been following the CBP-ICEholes cars and honking to alert their neighbors that they were cruising around looking for not-wipipo to detain. She got in Good Trouble.
Hoppy No Kings Day!
