Concert flyer Things are starting to ramp up for getting the word out for the concert next month (August 28, Holy Moly, 4 pm). The first flyers went up today, and I sold the first ticket. More to do today and tomorrow. This one went up at Caribou Coffee, I’ll return there later with small flyers in a little hanging pocket. I dropped one off at Panera Bread, too. I was dropping off flyers and picking up some iced chai at Caribou Coffee before choir practice this morning when I encountered this antlered water-sports enthusiast. I wants one. I wants one real bad. I have no idea why, I just want a Snorkelbou. The accessories are piable plastic or vinyl. The life preserver around his waist is lightly inflated. This had been planned by the family; his ashes will most likely be launched from Vandenburg on a Falcon 1 rocket. Space Services, Inc., is handling the arrangements. It’s surprisingly affordable if you just want to launch a gram. It gets a lot more expensive if you want a fancy engraved capsule with 7 grams of remains, or if you want to go to the Moon, or if you want to go to deep space.

At last. We get to see new Stargate and Atlantis episodes, and my husband David gets to see new Battlestar Galactica episodes. It’s too bad the Shuttle Discovery didn’t launch the other day; according to the behind the scenes show SciFi.com ran the other day, there are a couple of Stargate fans up on the International Space Station.
