In December, 2014 I was diagnosed with Type II diabetes, and will be riding in Tour de Cure Chicago on Team Red again this year to raise money for research and to help STOP DIABETES. Why? because diabetes sucks! For the second year running, as a person living with diabetes I wear the Red Rider jersey for training and on the day of the ride. This year, if I raise $1000 by January 1, 2016, I will commit to ride 65 miles on the road, instead of the 40 mile ride on the trail. I’m not currently comfortable as a…

Did he have a paid Ashley Madison account, or was it someone's idea of a joke back in 2013? Frankly, back then he was only known as a spokesman for the Family Research Council, not as an accused child molester. So if it's not him, it's someone who knew his name and had a sly sense of humor. But they used a valid credit card that took subscription charges for months, so the identity of the Ashley Madison subscriber ought to be verifiable. Oh, the schadenfreude. The weird "family values" of the Duggars are a never-ending source of embarrassing detail.…

It's not far, not fast, but felt good. I'm signed up again for #TourdeCure Chicago in June 2016, and I'm challenging myself to raise $3000.00. This year the route starts in Aurora from the riverside park. If I raise $1500.00 by January 1, I will bite the bullet and ride 65 miles on the road route -and I hate road riding! However, it's fully supported and I'll be with a LOT of friends. See more at http://gchallenge.ridewithginny.com Morning Indoor Trainer 08/11/2015 – Ginny Gibbs’s 4.5 mi bike ride Read at Google+

While looking for something else I stumbled across this post, which reminded me of an old roommate who had to go full no-contact with her abusive mother. It also reminded me of a recent girlfriend who had a narcissistic ex-boyfriend. In both instances, I wasn't as supportive as I could have been, but at least the second time I got more of the gist of why "no contact means no contact." Should I need to remind myself again, sticking this here to be left till called for. The Art of No Contact: Part 1 Read at Google+
