Every blogger worth her or his salt has already had a lot to say about Sarah Palin’s gobsmacking resignation yesterday. I can’t possibly improve on what they had to say (you should visit Mudflats, the companion piece at Huffpost, and Andrew Sullivan’s “Iceberg” post and catch up there). I heard fairly long clips of this speech on NPR on my way home, and I was trying to make sense of it and drive safely. It’s a reconditioned Roomba, now charging in its dock. It does a decent job getting edges and under stuff; later on we’ll reposition it upstairs and let it work under the bed. Riley is not thrilled. There’s so much to write about; too much, really, for someone with the attention span of a caffeinated kitten. Trying to keep up with the international, national, and entertainment news this week is harder than playing pinball on my new 3G S iPhone. In other words, not that hard, akshully, but it tends to suck you in and keep you from doing anything productive as a blogger. Hypocritic Oath: The unspoken agreement that pundits and their followers will all make the same points repeatedly. When broken, the transgressor becomes a member “in name only.” It requires that similar tactics by the opposition be dismissed as a mere “echo chamber.”
