How “hundreds of thousands” became “tens of thousands” in Washington today. This just in: Bring Reagan Back Now!! (Not That Bush Guy, Apparently).Anti-Government Demonstration Draws Tens of Thousands to D.C. – washingtonpost.com A loud, rambunctious crowd gathered at the foot of the Capitol. Invocations of God and former President Reagan by the speakers got loud cheers, echoing across the Mall. On an overcast and windy afternoon, hundreds of yellow “Don’t Tread on Me” flags flapped in the breeze, mingled with U.S. and Texas state flags. “We own the dome,” the crowd chanted loudly, pointing at the Capitol. Most signs were…

Yesterday was, of course, another anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. As I walked into the building, a big United jet flew overhead, and I looked up to watch it climb into the soft morning sky and thought it was a good sight to see. It’s become a confederation of sovereign dunces, fantasizing about forming their own free state and cheering for their media champions, and regurgitating their hysterical screeds, from couches and basements across America. Progressive blog One Utah has been getting a lot of comments on their recent post, “The right has truly gone insaneâ€. Predictably, there’s some crazy stuff to investigate. I’ll look at just one from a contrarian commenter, in a laundry list of statements about Obama administration “czars” (such as FCC Chief Diversity Officer Mark Lloyd) that need a little scrutiny. Science Czar John Holdren has written extensively about forced…

A video shown to Utah elementary students urges them to pledge allegiance to the united funk of funkadelica. Typical wingnuttery ensues. Parents upset over ‘leftist propaganda’ video – Salt Lake Tribune Gayle Ruzicka, president of conservative Utah Eagle Forum, said the video was blatantly political. She said other offensive pledges included, “I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama,” “I pledge allegiance to the funk, to the united funk of funkadelica,” and pledges to not use plastic grocery bags and not flush the toilet after urinating. “It’s very inappropriate to show a radical, leftist propaganda piece that political to…
