This is the infamous House O’ Big Inflatables. The people that live here apparently subscribe to the More is Better mentality when it comes to cheap plastic crap and tasteless seasonal decor. This is a tiny image of the giant bunny inflatable they had up after Valentines Day. It stayed up for about a month and a half; all the way through Lent everything. At Christmess, they had 11 (eleven) large inflatables. Last year, they had 10. The year before, they had 8 or 9. This is all on a normal sized front lawn. There’s very little lawn visible (or…

One of the biographical panels from Maggie Moo’s Ice Cream in Sugar House, Salt Lake. It depicts Maggie driving off to seek fame and fortune, fabulously accesorized. Despite the cartnoonyness, the ice cream really was good there.

Okay, this is so not me, but it made me laugh when I saw it. Today it’s very warm and very muggy, but it was also very much about to rain like hell. So the thought of this imaginary me prancing around in a bikini is just ludicrous. Or maybe it’s lewdicrous; could be. However, it’s cute and of course the kitty is in it. Hi, kitty! And by the way, by the time I got home, the heavens burst open and I had to run around outside trying to cover up the one flower bed and protect it from…

Crash Test Goofy approves of car safety: Federal regulators proposed today an overhaul of the side-impact crash tests performed on cars and trucks. The new test procedures will reinforce the industry’s voluntary commitment to equip almost all new vehicles with inflatable curtains and other side airbags that protect people’s heads by the end of the decade.

We got to Salt Lake yesterday afternoon after driving up through the desert and mountains from Moab. The big wind was still blowing and there were branches down and stuff flying all over. We managed to get to dinner with Timmy and Frank, because Tim was leaving the next morning for a convention. We did much damage to a lot of sushi, much to the wonderment of our family, who stuck to shrimp tempura. Today we mooched around at Mom’s and ran a couple of errands before meeting with our friends Jim and Jane at a place called the Salt…

CTG is unhappy with his seating arrangements, and doesn’t get to go out on hikes, either. He gets to stay back in the room when we go out for gourmet meals, too. Not too happy a camper is Crash Test Goofy, but then he’s only along for the ride. Sending pictures to the blog is interesting, but not easy to do without a few more things set up in advance. Also, damn Verizon and their stupid added advertising text. That’s the first thing that’s going to get macroed out of existence as soon as I get some decent access. Tonight…

Road Trip! Crash Test Goofy says goodbye to his pal MooPunk before leaving for two weeks on the road. CTG will not be driving on this trip because his license was suspended long ago, because frankly his record was shockingly bad. Strangely, no one was ever hurt. Crash Test Goofy will try to send photos of himself from the road, possibly with latitude and longitude information and short, snappy updates. Okay, that was interesting. My first attempt at getting the moblog to work, and it sent to the main entry. I thought when I set it up that it would…
