The British National Party (BNP) has lost all 12 of its seats on east London’s Barking and Dagenham Council.
That’s satisfying, especially as it proves the local electorate are not Barking mad. I wonder how many votes the Raving Loony Party candidate got? That’s a stunning hat and impressive rosette, which might have convinced a few to vote for him in protest of banality.
