This: we've visited Estes Park many times over the years, and I'd always wondered about the design of the Park Theater, which has a distinctive square tower that doesn't appear to have any function other than being decorative (it kind of looks like the kind of towers old firehouses have for drying hoses). This NPR story from KUNC had a lot of interesting detail about the theater, and about their 100th Anniversary celebration. Looks like a good time! http://kunc.org/post/estes-park-landmark-celebrates-100-years Estes Park Landmark Celebrates 100 Years View this post on Google+

Okay, I've updated the Google+Blog plugin, missed the announcement about the bugfix, and it had stopped working when I last upgraded WordPress. Now to figure out if my Google+ posts will eventually update to my blog, or if I'll have to send them by hand. https://plus.google.com/103697821787469756035/posts Daniel Treadwell View this post on Google+

Listening to KUNC on the Internets and caught a bit of this on the Ted Radio Hour. Embedded Link Cameron Russell: Looks aren’t everything. Believe me, I’m a model. | Video on TED.com Cameron Russell admits she won “a genetic lotteryâ€: she’s tall, pretty and an underwear model. But don’t judge her by her looks. In this fearless talk, she takes a wry look at the industry that had her looking highly seductive at barely 16-years-old. (Filmed at TEDxMidAtlantic.) Google+: View post on Google+

I sort of met Mari on Sunday when I took her picture at the Chicagoland Tour de Cure – she is an amazing advocate for healthy living and exercising with diabetes. UPDATE: Mari was found alive and is recovering from her experience. Check out the Team Mari Facebook group to follow her progress.
