House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul is the latest to point out the problem in his party.
…In an interview with Puck News’s Julia Ioffe, Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Tex.) — none other than the GOP chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee — flat-out said that Russian propaganda had “infected a good chunk of my party’s base.”
McCaul suggested conservative media was to blame.
“There are some more nighttime entertainment shows that seem to spin, like, I see the Russian propaganda in some of it — and it’s almost identical [to what they’re saying on Russian state television] — on our airwaves,” McCaul said.
Just repeat the mantra. “I’m so glad they’re not mine…”
I had a cameraphone thrust in my face yesterday; one of my cow-orkers had a baby the other day and someone had gone to visit her. The phone went all over our section of the office, with a chorus of “AAAAAW!” and “ooooo, sweet liddle baybee” following it around. I guess that’s the next technological advance after the tiny little photos people get from the hospital and hand around. Then someone else brought in their newborn, and they stood by my desk and joked that “Aw, I think he’s pooping. Isn’t that cute?”
‘Frankly, no, and please go away now’ was my thought at the time.
